Ephesians

Ephesians

Are you having an identity crisis? Do you and others know who you really are? With whom or with what do you identify? Male? Female? Black? White? Republican? Democrat? Independent? Are you who you were ten years ago or have you remade yourself? Individuals spend countless hours trying to figure this out. As Christians we too may have some identity crisis. Who are you? Who? Who? Who? Who? How do we discover who we are without becoming selfish and narcissistic? The answer is by studying God’s Word and seeing our identity in Christ. The Book of Ephesians is all about identity. The words “you” and “your” are used about one hundred times. In Ephesians Paul doesn’t use ‘you” and “your’ in reference to us as individuals but to us as a congregation. So the question “who are you?” is the same as “who are we?”
